Appalachian Rain

Setting out on this journey

I packed up my regrets
Now I sit here in this shelter
Seems I don't have many left
So I'm writing you this letter

Croatia

Nach langer Zeit mal wieder Kroatien. Ich hatte ganz vergessen wie schön es dort unten ist. Auch die Menschen haben sich verändert. Die schlechte Laune der kommunistischen Ära scheint verschwunden zu sein. Wir trafen nur freundlich hilfsbereite Leute. Der Tag in Zagreb war einfach nur wunderschön. Tolle Stadt, tolles Land. Kroatien hat wirklich das Potential eine Perle Europas zu werden. Wir hatten auch wunderschönes, frühlingshaftes Wetter. Wenn ich dagegen Irrland sehe: Tief Gertrude macht den Inselbewohnern das Leben zur Hölle! Eine Schlechtwetterfront jagt die nächste. Aber so isses nun mal auf der Kackinsel. 

Das Jahr 2016 wird "The year of travelling". Alles was ich in den letzten Jahren nicht gemacht habe, werde ich nachholen.

Waves at Lahinch beach
Great footage has emerged of powerful waves battering the promenade at Lahinch beach in Co Clare.The footage was shot on Monday morning at 6am and shows rolling waves at high tide being swept up by the tail-end of Storm Jonas.Michael Vaughan, who shot the video, said he had to strap himself to a telegraph pole in order to keep the camera steady."I strapped myself to a telegraph pole for stability and I braced myself for a good half an hour," he said."It was quite dramatic as you can see."http://jrnl.ie/2574409f(Video: Michael Vaughan)
